This January at Mezzino, we’re encouraging everyone to reach out for a cuppa and a catch-up with the people who matter most, in support of Samaritans. By coming together over a warm drink, we’re helping ensure Samaritans can be there, day or night, for anyone who needs someone to listen.
Across our Mezzino locations in the UK and Ireland, we’ve been celebrating conversation and connection, one cup at a time. From tea and biscuits laid out for residents to handwritten positivity notes left to brighten someone’s day, it’s been inspiring to see these small moments of kindness in action.
At Pine Mill in Lincoln, residents were welcomed with thoughtful study packs including biscuits, tea bags and coffee. Sycamore House in Leeds had colouring books, postcards to send to loved ones, mini canvases and books. Over in Coppergate, Swansea, residents enjoyed beautifully put together pamper bags – the perfect invitation to pause and unwind.
Why Brew Monday?
Like Samaritans, we know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’. Feeling low doesn’t stick to a schedule, and it doesn’t only happen on one day in January. That’s why they say: out with the blue and in with the brew – because a simple cuppa and a conversation can make all the difference.
